Toddlers learn best… when they feel secure. Young children thrive in a warm, safe, loving environment that gives them the confidence to explore.

That’s why it’s so important for teachers to be responsive and nurturing. The more secure children feel, the more they are willing to take risks, try new things and build friendships with others.

Our preschool and teachers base the curriculum and teaching strategies on the way children develop and learn. Such programs are “developmentally appropriate.” Teachers consider each child's strengths, interests, needs and cultural background.

Rising Stars Class
Ages 3-4

3 years old by September 30

  • Two-Day Class: Tue/Thu

  • Three-Day Class: Mon/Wed/Fri

  • Five-Day Class: Mon-Fri

  • Before and after care available

  • Must be fully potty trained

Children this age (3 to 4) are most likely to remember concepts and strategies learned through hands-on experience.

Effective preschool teachers allow ample time for experimentation. They watch closely and take advantage of opportunities to extend children’s play and challenge their thinking and reasoning processes. If a child is looking at the bean plants on the windowsill, for instance, the teacher might ask, “Why do you think some of the plants are taller than the other ones?”

Preschoolers improve their language skills by listening to and speaking with adults. Teachers talk to the children at center time and in small groups. They also make sure to have individual conversations with each child throughout the course of the day.

Ready… Set… PLAY! Supporting school readiness through play—did you know that when your children are playing they are actually learning?

Your preschooler will develop all kinds of important skills that prepare them to enter kindergarten ready to learn reading, writing, math, science and more. Through sand and water play and constructing with blocks, children begin to learn the basics of scientific and mathematical concepts, such as:

  • What floats?

  • What balances or what doesn’t?

  • What happens when you pour sand from a tall, skinny container into a short, fat one?

  • How many square blocks equal one long rectangular block?

The children also express themselves through art, music, dramatic play and much more!

Summer Camp

  • 12-week program

  • June through August

  • 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

  • Call for more information and prices

Children are scientist and builders, acrobats and artisans who need active experiences!

Through exploration and discovery, your child will experience summer camp as it is meant to be.  Learning occurs in many settings. While using our playground and surroundings as an extension of our center, the children will learn about the world around them while discovering science, exploring nature, and engaging in the creative arts.
